Vermeil Karen hill tribe silver uses a nickel-free process. The pure silver is plated with 1 micron of 18K gold for strength then followed by 2 microns of 24K gold. This gives the gold a lasting antique look and feel. The 3 micron (micro meter) coating is guaranteed.
